Stepping onto the field at Geneseo is like taking a step back in time...
What's an airshow without a gazillion T-6s, Harvards, and the odd Yale?
This is one reason your blogmeister loves and hates airshows... this could have been a really nice shot if it weren't for all the clutter.
It's always nice to take a stroll through the restoration area of most any air museum...
This is one of the luckiest shots your blogmeister has ever grabbed. On the road, heading home, one of the B-17s was crossing right to left and it looked like a good shot could be had through the sunroof, as he was going to cross the road at just the right moment. Unfortunately I was using an old P&S POS for these photos, and it had a 'shutter' delay. Long story short, I missed the shot I was going for... but pointed the camera out the driver's side window and took one shot. This was the result. It's been altered for color and levels to give a more vintage look, but is otherwise straight 'outta the can'.
I call this, appropriately, 'Going Home'...
