Wait a minute... did we travel back in time only a year from yesterday's post... or was it more than sixty years?
Taking time out here for a sec...
As a writer, I like to try and keep things lighthearted and, hopefully, humorous. However, every once in a while, I do feel the need to dispense with levity and don my 'serious' cap.
A good friend's Dad, who is himself a pretty good friend, is currently facing some potentially life-threatening difficulty. I personally am not a religious guy, and therefore am not the praying type... I tend to do alotta thinking instead. However, I do sorta believe in the possibility of collective energy and in karma. Anyhoo, whether you are the praying sort or just a thinker like me, please take a moment to focus on the gray-haired gentleman in this next photo and try to send some positive energy his way... because he is indeed an absolute gentlemen in every sense of the word and has undoubtedly banked his share of good karma, and all of it is well-deserved. His name is Bob, he is a U.S. Navy veteran, and he is an all-around super-groovy guy...
This little lady was selling rides in an AT-6 Texan... she almost had me signed up, even though there was no way in h-e-double-hockey-sticks that I coulda afforded it...
There wasn't a nicer guy on the field that day. He and Bob coulda been brothers...
Ever wonder what it would be like to be inside of a Hurricane? Now you know...
Waiting on the order to scramble...
One more of my friends... Bob and his son Mike, who I am fortunate to call my best bud...
And one for the road...
